ATTORNEY PROFILE
Steven J. Lieberman is a native Houstonian who has practiced law in Texas for more than 30 years. Steven J. Lieberman is board ceritfied in criminal appellate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Board ceritification is a recognition of an attorney’s expertise which is awarded to only ten percent of all attorneys licensed in the State of Texas.
Steven J. Lieberman has been either lead or associate counsel in more than 200 appeals and post-conviction cases. He has filed appellate briefs in ten of the fourteen Texas Courts of Appeals and in the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. Steven J. Lieberman has filed appellate briefs in the Fifth, Sixth, Ninth, and Eleventh Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals. He has argued many cases in the Fifth Circuit and in the Ninth Circuit.
Steven J. Lieberman is licensed by the United States Supreme Court and has filed multiple petitions with the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. He is counsel of record on more than 15 published opinions that are now part of Texas and federal law.
